Hey Jeepers! On Sunday, October 16 OJT is planning a run down the Glade Top Trail in Mark Twain National Forest just south of Ava. The trail includes Forest service roads and has many natural panoramic views. Below I have included two links; one with directions to the trail and the other is a description from the Forest Services Dept. This includes 3 different directions to the different trail heads. We will be entering at the north entrance off of Hwy 5, South of Ava.
Although the main trail is easy gravel roads, we will be takinga lot of "off the beaten path" trails found along the route. Be prepared for small scratches from brush and possibly some difficult rock sections and hill climbs.
Be sure and pack plenty of water/drinks and lunch/snacks. It is a little over 20 miles of trail so it will be an all day event.
We will be meeting at Murfins Market parking lot in Ozark across from the Casey's as you are heading towards Sparta. We will meet at 7:00am and depart for the trail at 7:30am
