syncros out in NV3550

5th gear will not stay ingaged now.  anyone good with manuals or no someone to have rebuild.  have access to salvage yard tranny from 2001, but like the idea of know what i got is good and not getting a different problem with used one.

That's the exact tranny i put in my '88.  Get hold of:

ask for Josh, he may know of a reliable rebuilder in the area.  But, honestly, they sell them pretty reasonable for a brand new tranny dropped to your door.

what are you doing tearing out 5th gear?  I know you built your rig for the abuse, but you dont have to go that fast on the rocks.  Its only showing off to a point then its just bragging.

I got one with 5,000 miles on it
it's a rebuild from John's didn't have any problems just took out for an automatic
asking 400.00
