« on: 06/ 3/07 - 12:37PM »
i have wheeled with some of yall at disney, and i thought i would share this with you.

you might remember my old jeep

anyway i sold it a few months ago and started the buggy build.

specs are 4.3/700r4/ np205(still need)

d60s 4.56 spooled. hydraulic steering.
42" iroks on steelies with KORE4x4customs beadlocks
Radflo 16" AirShocks
triangulated 4 link.

its a budget build, i am staying close as possible to 7500 as possible.
i have about $1000 left and i only need a tcase and seats for the big parts, then more tubing and lots of small stuff.
plus i have a 99 vortec 4.3 and th350 to sell or barter for the parts i need. here are some pics

axles came all the way from utah day i got em, tires from local Chris Beyer (big black cj w/ orange cage.)

steering parts

switch panel from 12voltguy.com( one of the only new parts bought, i had to have one)

start of the chassis

pic of my bender setup

more chassis

engine in.

changed front tube work for clearance and much better look,

the actual bender is a JD2, but hyd. setup and cart i built, i am located in tulsa, i get my tube from Ken at Kore4x4customs.com

i think i am going to have to do some majoy surgury and lower the roof a bit. after looking at it for a long time i figured out a easy, yet strong in the end way. to me it just sits too high, would have plenty of head room, but it needs to be alot slimmer.

on my ol jeep, the top of the cage was about 3" lower than normal cages.

I am excited to say i will be running the new kore4x4customs flex joint kits.
http://www.kore4x4customs.com/asccus...rtID=613896192
i will be running these on one end, and on the other end bushings
http://www.kore4x4customs.com/asccus...rtID=613896192

i will be using 2" .250 lowers and 1 3/4 .120 wall uppers. i had planned on running all 1 3/4 .120 and non adj flex joints and bushings, but i couldnt pass these up, yeah it will hurt my budget, but in the end, it will be totally worth it!

ohh and the best part Kenneth will be TIG welding the flex joint kits.

i chopped the top about 5 inches, and added the windshield bars. looks better and better every time i work on it.

once i link it up, i need to figure out how to tube the rear end up. then it will be lots of bracing and final work, which is where one of these days the funds will hold me back.

the bender is a manuel jd2 i made into a air powered bender. as far as how much tube i can bend  iwould say prolly 25,000 feet before it breaks. :agree:

i assume angle? its a 240  which means i can bend 180 degree.
