powder coating

im thinking about re-painting my mountain bike and was wondering about powder coating it. so my question is can aluminum be powder coated. if not what is the best, most durable way to paint it?

Yes, it can be powder coated.  CNC Powder Coating in Nixa was working on some luggage hinges the last time I was there.  Don't know if you watch American Chopper, but from what I've seen on there you would have to be very specific as to what you want coated to be able to put it back together without having to clean up quite a bit and have everything fit.
I'd put something funny here, but you probably wouldn't get it anyway...

yeah i saw that episode when they powder coated their first set of rims. i had planed on putting cork or something in all the threaded holes. just wasnt sure if it even worked on alum. i really like the look of flat powder coated colors.
