Palin visit
« on: 10/22/08 - 12:37PM »
Christy went and got tickets to see Palin at McDonnald Arena Friday.

Anyone else going?
I'd put something funny here, but you probably wouldn't get it anyway...

Curious... Do they cost anything for the tickets? I would not mind going

No cost.  I'm sure they are out of tickets already.  They opened the doors at 9am at the Greene Co. Republican headquarters on E. Sunshine.  It's right across the street from where Christy works.  She called this morning at 7:45am when she got there and told me there was a line already formed.  You could only get 4 tickets per person.  You had to give them the info of who the tickets were for and when you get there Friday you have to show ID.

I went around 10:45 and they were out.  Signed up on a waiting list though.  They are trying to get it moved to Hammon's Student Center because of the demand.  That place was a mad house.

I'm surprised it's not at the new JQH arena they just spend all that $ on.

I'd like to attend, but figured all the tickets would be gone asap.

JQH isn't quite done yet, I was over there today. But I missed out on the tickets unfortunately.

Saw it on the news last night, that they moved it to the Bass Pro parking lot!

Maybe she wanted to get some shopping done while she was here!!!

Have fun with being out in the cold and drizzly.  LOL

Also you do not need a ticket anymore... anyone can go.  However, ticket holders do get a special seat.

Get there early! I heard on the news that parking is going to be a nightmare. Sarah Palin is supposed to speak at noon.
