Ok, enough is enough.  I know that we all have our opinion and that most of us on here think that Obama is a complete joke, myself included.  But the bottom line is, that the man is going to be our next president, so I think it is about time that everyone stand up and be an American.  Back the man that we as a whole have selected.  The democratic way of doing things pervailed and we must support the selection. We might not like him, we might not trust him or even agree with him, but give him your respect and backing.  At least until he does something dumb enough that we can raise our hand and say, "Missouri Voted McCain!!"

I cannot and will not support him or his policies.  I didn't vote for the guy because i had concerns about almost everything he wanted to do.  Those did not change just because he is the President.  If he were to do things in a conservative manner, then i would support him, but i dont see that happen.  i know the liberals are all telling us that we need to come together and sing the coke song; and that Nobama is going to govern from the center but his actions thus far don't show that.  Go to change.gov.  The guy is still campaigning.

He'll get my respect when he does something to earn it and not a moment sooner. I did not vote for him and I don't stand with those who did in any way shape or form. I don't have to like him or back him or jump on the koolaid train.  PS> screw the liberals, they blow, i dislike them immensely.

I plan on showing him just as much "respect" as the liberals and their media have shown W.  I will say that I can see something great coming out of this election:  I have always been a staunch conservative, but the fire that was lit under my butt on November 4th will surely not fade quietly away.  We, the true conservative base, must make it extremely clear that we WILL NOT go towards the middle and "come together."  We must stand up and voice our opinions as loudly and clearly as possible during these next few years.  That is the only way that our party will not leave us.  The leadership must know that if they go to the middle, they will never be in power again. 

We must start the next campaign now...and I don't mean I want to see any commercials.  We must start talking with other people we know and educate them before the liberal kool-aid is poured down their throat.  It's time for the new Republican party to stand up and take back America.  We need leaders like Representative Ryan from WI, Gov. Jindal from LA, and Gov. Palin.  These are our hope for the future.

I'm of the opinion if you don't vote you have no right to comment one way or another.  I voted, and I have no plans to support Obama in any of his endeavors. 

Dave I should have known you had a liberal hiding deep down inside.

I agree with you B. I think the Republican party needs to regroup and get america back in the next 4 years.  We definately dont have to support the liberal socialists.  As americans we need to support america, not the president.  they showed W ablsolutely no respect int eh last 8 yrs, so why do they expect us to respect their winner of the most expensive popularity contest ever.  It goes to show how little people pay attention if they voted for that man.  I just hope and pray that he doesnt screw america over and hand us over to the arabs....I voted too, so i can complain as much as I want...youll probably hear me complain very often, esp if these tree hugger liberals close our trails.

Well Farmboy I cannot agree with you more. The United States population made a descision and made it LOUD AND CLEAR! We need to stand up as a country and support (in my case support and defend! yes I am military) our newly and duely elected President of the United States. I have sworn under oath to do so and I will do so. You all are not sworn to do so as I am but should do so as patriotic americans

Our support for the office of the presidency and congress should NEVER be automatic.  I am also a veteran and the oath is to the Constitution FIRST. If congress and the president break that LAW, then they DESERVE no support.

Well, I have been gone all weekend and was excited to see what everyone had to say about my thread.  

First of all...
    It is evident that Fred knows where I am coming from on the support issue.  We may not agree, but any good american will support, it's our duty not our privaledge.

Second...
    Just because the Democratics treated our guy like shit, this means we should automatically lower ourselves to their level and ack like them.  I don't think so... I'm pretty conservative and I don't want to act like them.  I don't treat people like shit just cause I don't agree with them. But this is the internet and I can talk all the smack that I want...

Third...
    What law has anyone broken??? I guess I'm out of the loop on that one.

Finally...
    I'm gonna take the woodshed thing as a joke and not an open ended promise.  I have been taken out behind the woodshed a few times by my father when I was little.  He stopped that when I walked out laughing.  Trust me, don't say something you can't back up.  I don't know you, but I'm not threatened by no means.  It's been awhile since I've been in a little skuffle so here is what I will do.  I will give you my address and you can come find me.  You can use www.google.com or www.mapquest.com to get more accurate directions.  I know where the hospital is, so I will take you there after the fact.
