Grand Light bar?
« on: 05/14/09 - 02:22PM »
I want to do a light bar across my 96' Grand, but every where I look no one seems to have one? Know where I could get one? Or would the stock racks work as one?

Nobody has one because off there being no drip rail to mount it to.  The only way to put one forward enough would be to drill the roof and make one.  (I looked into doing this on a Toyota)  It is possible to build one pretty cheap, but drilling the roof and sealing it is the only option.  If you don't mind drilling the roof pm me and I will explain how to seal the roof up when you drill it.

I would use the spreader on the rack, but that puts the lights pretty far back.
I cut sheetmetal for free.  It's fixing it that get's expensive.

Would a cargo rack on the roof keep from having to drill? and then just put lights on that?
