YJ Build
« on: 08/25/09 - 12:45AM »
Alright guys here is the latest and greatest on my 91 YJ! We pulled the 30 and the 35 out over the weekend and got started installing a 44 in the front with an air locker and a Toyota 8" in the rear with a lock right.  I will have it on 35" Swamper SX's.  Will have more pics after this weekend hope to have it back on tires after Sunday.  Thanks to Aaron, Bobby and Dewayne for all of their help over last weekend, couldn't have got as much done without them.  Below is the link to all of the pictures on photobucket.

Next up is the full cage and tube fenders

BS... next step is finishing what we've already started.

Nice pic of Hunter, gotta love child labor.

We will get it finished amigo, just gotta wait for all my parts to hit!  I should have the high steer arms hopefully in the next day or so and then I can get the knuckles drilled and tapped.  Then we will be moving right along.  The majority of the stuff came in for the rear today.  Just have to get the brake lines squared away and some other little stuff and she will be sitting pretty good.

I'm sure we have some late nights ahead but it will be worth it when it is out wheeling again.  I'll keep posting up pics as I get some good ones.

Looks good Clint.  What year Toy axle is that?

I could be done with my 44 swap if I had leaf springs. :78:

I was going to say that it looked narrower than mine.  Is he going to use wheel spaces or anything on the rear?  Isn't the width like 56"?

87 IFS rears are 58" WMS to WMS, kinda hard to judge in the pic with NO axles or drums on it.

Either run 1" spacers if he doesn't like the width or leave it.  I'd leave it as I like rear axles narrower than fronts.

Yes the 85 and older are 2" narrower than that.

Having it a little narrower should help the turning radius anyway so I will probably just leave it the way it is for now.

Boy someone should really paint those springs, frame, etc. Looks like crap next to that new axle.
