More front exo work. Still need 2 down tubes to tie the fenders in on each side from the top to the bottom of the fender. Also picked up a matching wagoneer rear dana 44 today. Going to build a truss and the 4 link mounts for it tomorrow and install it. Hate to get rid of the nissan rear but the 44 has way cheaper locker/gear options and has chromos available....

Got the steering installed. Flat top knuckles, Ballistic Fab Y link with chevy 1 ton TRE's, and highsteer arms. Also installed all new u-joints, bearings, seals, and ball joints on the front dana 44. Was only able to do a little bit of tube work. I still need to add one more tie in on the front of the fender from the top/bottom tube. Rear axle install and drive shafts were put off untill this weekend. What do you guys think about the front tube work? Where else needs some added bracing or tube added in?

What are your thoughts on the EXO? Here are some of what the cage used to be on for comparison of the front.

Cage is completely finished and painted. Now I need to build driveshafts and make a run to Springfield Brake for brake lines then I can atleast take it on a shakedown run before finishing paintwork, some interior stuff, regear/lock the axles, and fab up the hydro assist set up.

looks good mike cant wait to wheel with you. I may not be seeing it all from the pic, but are you gonna run another bar from bottom of the rear fender to the top of it. on the old cage it looks like hes got it going into the body there on the center tube. without it, looks like that might cave the rear hoop if you roll. just my .02 i may be wrong, so dont crucify me.

Thanks man! Yeah, I cant wait either untill we can do some wheeling! You need to start on your Nissan soon. Where are you seing another tube? I'm pretty sure I have the rear set up exactly like it was on the other one. Let me know what you are thinking.

how, and what, is the front crossmember that your front sping hangers, attatched to? from the pics it doesnt look very strong. might just be the angle in seeing it at?

Thanks! The Front spring hanger is a calimi piece for the SAS kit thats on it. It is stitch welded on the front, fully welded on the rear and also gussetted for additional strength. Here is a pic of what it looks like uninstalled.

Beadlocks are mounted, talk about a pain in the ass! Also, finally got a picture of the cage from the roof.

Finally getting around to installing the dana 44 rear.

Nissan rear removed.

Bare dana 44.

All the mounts removed from the Nissan rear.

We got all the mounts welded on the 44 but I didn't get a pic. Tomorrow we will be modifying the upper coil buckets to move them back 2 inches to match the new wheel base. Will also be building front shock hoops as well as driveshafts.

Also, we will be installing brake lines and a front drive shaft on my buddies toyota.
