Garmin 60CS
Love it. use it.
handheld so I can take it backpacking which is what I bought it for in the first place... but also works great in the Jeep taking trips or mapping trails. It also has a geocaching feature with it that is pretty cool.

I have the
Garmin eTrex Vista
and don't use it anymore. Talk to Christy, she may sell it to you... haha.
I plotted some trails with it, but just couldn't get into the GPS thing. I used it for a while in the CJ as a speedometer.

Oh yeah, wish it was color screen.

Magellan Meridian Platinum

Works great, has weather alert, and great mapping. It's also easy to use, and has a "true north" magnetic compass & a barometer. Love it, use it some, not tried mapping with it, but it's decent & waterproof.

I have a Navigon. Use it. It has lifetime traffic updates, which around here there are no signals, but in KC it has already been a life saver. It is mainly for on the road, dont see much use for it off road.

One thing about Garmin, they invest in American engineers future. There is a lack of American electronics engineers so they grant scholorships to several major midwest colleges that have engineering programs. Even though most units are made in Taiwan the bulk of the money spent on Garmin stays in the USA.

Garmin is actually located in Olathe, KS. All avaition products are made in the USA. Most other products are made overseas. I have Trail Guide that has been known to plot trails at SMORR.

I have a first gen Garmin eTrex Vista non color. I use it mostly for hiking but I do take it on some road trips. It has been great and it still is. I have propped it (and it sunk) to the bottom of the buffalo and its still kicking. I have done some geocaching but not as much as I would like.

Didn't you and Carl do Glade Top too? I think that I remember something about you guys doing that a couple of years ago.
